The Directorate of Immigration (UDI) is the central agency in the immigration administration in Norway. The UDI is tasked with facilitating lawful and desirable immigration and ensuring that those who meet the requirements are given an opportunity to come to Norway. At the same time, they have a control function and must prevent system abuse.
The identity aims to illustrate this contrast between hard and soft, between control and service. The logo presents UDI as a control bureau, while the remaining identity exemplifies the service aspect and lays the foundation for good meetings with its users.
